Thema der Woche bei Sunday Postcard Art ist „Alice im Wunderland“, da musste ich natürlich dabei sein. Ich lese schon seit einiger Zeit stückchenweise „The Complete Annotated Alice“. Leider konnte ich das Buch nicht auf deutsch bekommen und auf englisch finde ich es schon recht anstrengend. Aber wenigstens kenne ich jetzt diverse Theorien darüber, warum der Hutmacher verückt ist und das Lied vom faulen Krokodil ist auch viel lustiger, wenn man weiß, dass es eine Parodie auf ein Lied vom fleißigen Bienchen ist. Die Spin & Splash-Karte ist schon ein bisschen älter aber die andere Karte habe ich extra für diese Challenge gemacht.

This week’s challenge at Sunday Postcard Art is „Alice in Wonderland“ and I definitely had to take part. I’ve been reading „The Complete Annotated Alice“ for quite a while – well inching my way through it, actually, as I couldn’t get hold of a translated copy and it is a bit of a task to read it in english. On the other hand I now quite a few theories about the hatter’s madness. And the song of the lazy crocodile is a lot more fun if you know that it’s a parody of a song about a busy bee. The spin & splash-card is not a new one but  I made the other card especially for this challenge.

Nachdem Suse auf gibgummi ein paar ältere Tim Holtz-Technik-Videos in Erinnerung gerufen hat, habe ich heute ein bisschen mit Copic-Nachfüllern (Adirondacks besitze ich nämlich nicht – keine Ahnung, wie das passieren konnte *g*) und Druckluft rumgespielt. Dabei ist diese Karte herausgekommen. Sie passt außerdem eh ganz gut in diese Woche, weil eine Freundin am Freitag sehr lieben Besuch aus den USA erwartet: Scott, die ist für dich!

After Suse sent some links to a couple of not-so-new Tim Holtz-videoclips I played around a little with copic refills (as I don’t have any AAIs – no idea how that could happen) and compressed air. And this card is the result. It is also quite suitable for this week as one of my friends expects a very dear visitor from the US next friday: Scott, this one’s for you!

Today I finally got done with the frog-themed ATCs I need for a swap that I host myself (my first one). This one coincidentally also matches the theme of „Dance and Music“ which was given at Theme Thursday for this week.

Eine Collage zu machen ist diese Woche die Aufgabe bei Saturday’s Workout. Eigentlich eine gute Gelegenheit die Spitze zu verwenden, die ich gestern auf dem Flohmarkt gekauft habe…. aber die Zeit ist ein bisschen knapp, deshalb gibt es für den Moment etwas zu gucken, das schon fertig ist. Ich habe die Dose schon vor einiger Zeit gestaltet um meine Artistamps endlich mal vernünftig unterzubringen.

The ladies from Saturday’s Workout have called for collages. I would have liked to use the lace I bought at a boot-sale yesterday – but time is short today,  so you get to look at something I did a while ago. I use this box to store some of my artistamps.

…ist diese Woche bei den Mittwochsstemplern gefragt. Der Hintergrund ist mit Distress Spiced Marmelade und Mustard Seed gemacht, zwei echte Lieblingsfarben, weil sie so wunderschön leuchten – auch wenn das im Scan nicht wirklich gut rauskommt.

The wednesdaystampers have asked for all things orange this week. The background was made with Distress Spiced Marmelade und Mustard Seed, two of my favourites because of their wonderful luminance – although they didn’t scan very well in this particular case.
