Bei den drei Musen ist diese Woche mal wieder Steampunkiges gefragt.

The three muses have asked for some steampunk this week.

Nee, Typographie ist das Thema der Woche bei den Daring Cardmakers. Da konnte ich gleich einen meiner ganz neuen VLVS-Stempel in Betrieb nehmen. Und habe sogar ausnahmsweise ein bisschen gesprüht, ist ja normalerweise nicht so mein Ding aber so schön glitzerig. Das Washitape war eigentlich schwarz-weiß, da habe ich mit ein bisschen Alkoholfarbe nachgeholfen.

The current challenge by the Daring Cardmakers is typography. The stamp I used is a brandnew one from VLVS. And I used some spray-on colour which I rarely do. It’s somehow just not my thing but I still like some glitter once in a while. The washitape was originally black and white, I used some alcohol ink to make it match the other colours.

Aufregende Zeiten: die Daring Cardmakers haben mich eingeladen für die nächsten zwei Monate als Gastdesignerin in ihr Team einzusteigen. Wow! Es ist schon sehr spannend mal einen Blick hinter die Kulissen einer wöchentlichen Challenge blicken zu können. Mal gucken, wie ich es hinbekomme, wirklich jede Woche eine Karte abzuliefern… Diese Woche gibt es eine Farbchallenge, die geforderte Zusammenstellung findet ihr hier. Und hier ist nun meine erste Karte als zeitweiliges Mitglied des Designteams.

Exiting Times: the Daring Cardmakers have invited me to play along as a guest designer with their team for the next two months. Wow! It’s very interesting to take a look behind the scenes of a weekly challenge. I’ll have to wait and see how I’m going to manage actually making a card every single week… This week we have a colour-combo-challenge going on, you can see the given colours here. So this is my first card as a temporary designteam-member.

Und gleichzeitig mein Beitrag zur aktuellen Schoko-Challenge bei den Daring Cardmakers. Die Idee zum Schokoriegel habe ich zuerst hier gesehen aber inzwischen hat sie sich ziemlich verbreitet. Ich fand sie jedenfalls auch so klasse, dass ich das unbedingt nachmachen musste.

Todays „Choc of the week“ is also my entry for the current Daring Cardmakers challenge: hot chocolate. The text translates: „friends are like chocolates – it’s the inside that counts.“ I first saw the idea for the chocolate bar here but it seems to have spread in the meantime. I, too, had to try it out myself.

Ein bisschen schräg geht es diese Woche bei den Crazy Amigos zu.

The Crazy Amigos have asked for something a little weird/crazy this week. The text translates „that explains quite a few things“. I think it does, don’t you?

The current challenge at the Daring Cardmakers is „butterflies“.

Es gibt eine neue Challenge ganz nach meinem Geschmack: an jedem 13. eines Monats heißt es ab sofort spooky & scary! Das erste Thema ist der gute alte Totenkopf.

A new challenge has just started that is just to my liking: spooky & scary is the word on every 13th of a month from now on. The first topic is the good old skull. The text translates „damned axe“ which is sort of a mild swearing expression. I liked the idea of combining the skull with the thought of a deadly blade.

Bei den Daring Cardmakers gibt es gerade wieder eine Farbchallenge: Cranberryrot, helles und dunkles grau und weiß sollen dabei sein. Ich hoffe, das zählt.

The Daring Cardmakers have posed a colourchallenge once more: cranberry, pale and slate grey and white it is. Hope this one counts.

Der Zufallsgenerator der Art Journey Challenge hat mich ausgewält und ich habe einen 10 Euro Einkaufsgutschein gewonnen! Welche Freude – Zeist ich komme! Die Karte ist aber auch mein bisheriges Lieblingswerk für dieses Jahr. Und für alle die gefragt haben, das tolle Türkis ist „distress peacock feather“. Außerdem habe ich broken china, evergreen bough, faded jeans und chipped sapphire benutzt. Und weil ich sie gar so schön finde, hier nochmal zum Genießen:

I was randomly chosen to win this months Art Journey Challenge. I won a 10 Euro-shopping certificate – Zeist I’m coming! The card I made for the challenge is my favourite for this year (so far). And as some people asked, the lovely turquois is „distress peacock feather“. I also used broken china, evergreen bough, faded jeans und chipped sapphire.

Das aktuelle Thema bei der Fashionable Stamping Challenge heißt „Trains, Planes and Automobiles“ aber auch alle anderen Fortbewegungsmittel sind erlaubt. Dieses ATC habe ich eigentlich für einen „True Colours“-Swap gemacht. Die Vorgabe war orange (ach was?). Der Text stammt aus einem meiner Lieblingslieder von den Missfits: „Mensch Mäuschen“. The ladies at the Fashionable Stamping Challenge asked for „Trains, Planes and Automobiles“ or any other form of transport. I actually made this ATC for a colour-themed swap for the colour orange (really?). The text translates „Once you’ve survived wednesday it’s gonna be thursday.“ It comes from one of my favourite songs by the former german comedy-duo „Missfits“.

Oh, but talking about fsc – the waterfall-wedding-card I made for my colleage won me their badge which I’m sooo proud of:

Wo wir gerade bei fsc sind – für die Wasserfall-Hochzeitskarte für meine Kollegin wurde für das Saturday-Spotlight ausgewählt, worauf ich sehr stolz bin  🙂
