Bei den drei Musen sind diese Woche Beziehungen das Thema. Für diese Karte habe ich zwei ganz besonders schöne Kontaktanzeigen verwendet, ich glaube sie standen sogar in derselben Zeitung. Findet ihr nicht auch, dass diese beiden geradezu füreinander bestimmt sind?

Relationships are this week’s challenge from the three muses. I have used two lonely hearts ads that I think harmonize especially well, I even think I clipped them from the same newspaper. She is an educated, versatile and culturally interested Philippine lady of 50 in want of a non-boring cosmopolitan German for friendship or more. He is a 63 year old presentable and tolerant „character“ who has traveled the world in want of a female who should be younger and pretty. His hobbies are: TV, nudism, sunbathing, swimming, parties, strolling, traveling and photography. Don’t you, too, think that these two were just meant to be?

Bei Think Monday – Think ATC sind Fische das Thema der Woche. Ich habe mich hier hauptsächlich auf das Ausmalen des Hauptmotivs konzentriert und bin ganz zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis. Benutzt habe ich einen Wassertankpinsel und Farben aus Distresskissen. Den Hintergrund habe ich improvisiert aber das Ergebnis gefällt mir auch sehr gut – es erinnert mich an Sonnenschein auf dem Boden des Schwimmbeckens im Freibad. Am schönsten war es immer im Lehrschwimmbecken (Sternbusch, yeah!): das Wasser war affenkalt aber dafür hatte man das Becken quasi für sich alleine. Um den sonnigen Gesamteindruck zu unterstreichen, habe ich mich für den gelben Rahmen entschieden.

This week’s challenge at Think Monday – Think ATC is „fish“. I concentrated on the colouring for the main motive and am quite happy with the turnout. I used colours from distress-stamppads. I wasn’t quite sure about what to do with the background but now I’m quite satisfied with that, too. It remains me of the effect that sunshine creates on the floor of an open-air swimming-pool. I used to like the teaching pool best: the water was icy but you almost had the whole pool to yourself. To further underline this sunny feeling I decided to give the ATC a yellow framing.

…ach nee, Beine sind das Thema der Woche bei den drei Musen – aber da im Schwäbischen der Fuß ja durchaus mal bis zur Hüfte reicht, geht der Titel trotzdem durch.

This week’s theme at Sunday Postcard Art is „umbrellas“.

Nee, grün ist einfach nicht meine Farbe und Glossypapier mag mich wohl nach wie vor nicht. Trotzdem hier mein Werk zur aktuellen Herausforderung bei Think Monday – Think ATC.

Sorry folks, green is never going to be a favourite colour with me and glossypaper still doesn’t like me either. Still, here’s my card for this week’s challenge at Think Monday – Think ATC.

Bei theme thursday ist die aktuelle Herausforderung schwarz-weiß. Mit dem tollen Escherstempel wollte ich schon ewig mal was machen und in Verbindung mit dem Jungen auf dem Goldfisch (Neuerwerb aus Zeist) gefällt er mir fast noch besser. Ich hoffe bloß, dass die Karte nicht zu orange geworden ist um der Challenge gerecht zu werden.

This week’s challenge at theme thursday is to do something in black and white. I have been meaning to do something with the fantastic Escher-stamp for ages and I really like the combination with the boy on the goldfish (newly bought at the art specially-event in Zeist). I just hope the card isn’t too orange to still suit the challenge.

Bei den drei Musen ist Musik das Thema der Woche. Und Musik führt quasi nahtlos zu Tanz.

This week’s subject of the three muses challenge is music. And it’s never a long way from music to dance.

Bei 4×4 Friday ist das Thema der Woche „Stadtbilder“. Ich habe ein bisschen geschummelt und zwei Lieblingsstädte zusammengebracht. Den Eiffelturm wollte ich eigentlich noch auf Abstandhalter kleben aber unsere Kamera treibt sich diese Woche samt meinem Schwaben in Orlando herum und der Scanner mag keine 3D-Effekte, also habe ich die Karte erstmal flach gehalten. Den Rest müsst ihr euch halt dazuvorstellen.

This week’s challenge at 4×4 Friday is „Cityscape“. I cheated and thus combined two favourite cities. I’ve been meaning to put the Eiffeltower on 3D-pads but the camera is on a work-outing in Orlando this week with my dearest one and the scanner doesn’t like 3D at all. So I made a flat card and leave the rest for you to imagine.
