Bei Sunday Postcard Art ist Phrenologie das Thema der Woche. Die Karte stammt mal wieder vom letzten ISDI. Vorgegeben war der Panikknopf von Katja. Ich habe ewig darüber gegrübelt und letztlich die Chance genutzt auch endlich mal etwas mit den Phrenologenköpfen zu machen, die schon ewig bei mir rumlagen und zu denen mir bis dahin auch noch nicht wirklich etwas eingefallen war.

Phrenonolgy is this week’s challenge at Sunday Postcard Art. This card is one from the last ISYI-project, again. I had do work around the panic-button-stamp. It took me ages to have an idea for this and in the end I took the chance and finally made first use of the phrenology-heads which have been lying around here for ages.

Bei Everybody Art Challenge sind diese Woche Werke in den Farben braun, blau und weiß gefragt. Weiß hatte ich schon wieder vergessen, als ich endlich am Schreibtisch saß, aber ein bisschen was ist trotzdem drin *puh* Leider mochte mein Scanner die Karte wegen der Blümchen gar nicht und das Foto kam auch nicht so raus, wie ich es mir gewünscht habe. Deshalb gibt es mehrere Blickwinkel und so könnt ihr auch ein bisschen was vom Glitzer erkennen.

The colours brown, blue and white are this week’s topic at Everybody Art Challenge. I had forgotten about the white bit when I finally made it to my desk but there’s still a little bit in there. My scanner didn’t like the card at all because of the flowers and the picture didn’t turn out the way I wanted it, either. So I decided to show you different angles to give you a glimpse at all the glitter.

Bei den drei Musen sind Zitate und Redewendungen das Thema der Woche. Da sich letzte Woche der Todestag von George Orwell zum sechzigsten Mal gejährt hat, habe ich mich für einen seiner berühmtesten Sätze entschieden. Absolut großartig finde ich allerdings immernoch den allerersten Satz des Buchs: Die Uhren schlugen dreizehn.

Quips and Quotes are this week’s challenge at the three muses. As George Orwell was sixty years dead last thursday I chose one of his most famous sentences for my card. To me, one of the most perfect sentences in the book is the very first one:  The clocks were striking thirteen. The german bit on my card translates „The quill is mightier than the sword.“

Eyes are this week’s topic at Sunday Postcard Art. The text translates: „Magic of the Moment“ – unfortunately the eye-relation in this doesn’t work out in english.

Bei den drei Musen ist „Wasser“ das Thema der Woche. Ich habe gerade neulich für einen Swap auf gibgummi Loriot-ATCs gemacht und finde, dass diese hier prima zum Thema passt.

The three muses have challenged us to do something about „water“ this week and I thougt that this ATC matches the subject. I don’t have to explain this to german readers as I think everybody knows Loriot’s famous cartoon about „Gentleman in the Bath“ – two men  (Herr Müller-Lüdenscheid und Herr Doktor Klöbener) in a hotel bathtub arguing about who’s room/bathroom it is, what temperature the water should be, who can hold his breath longer under water and that the one’s rubberduck is not going to „share the water“ with the other one. The discussion is eventually ended by a third gentleman coming in, also in search for his room – the one shown on this ATC.

„Alles was fliegt“ heißt diese Woche die Herausforderung bei Theme Thursday. Ich habe in den letzten Tagen mal wieder ein bisschen mit meiner kleinen Zentrifuge gespielt und dabei diesen zauberhaften fliegenden Gesellen angelockt:

Das Thema der Woche bei Crazy Amigo heißt „Winter“ – und was gibt es für den Schwaben im Winter schöneres als sich auf den Brettern in den Pulverschnee zu stürzen? Ich selber bin da leider fundamental unbegabt… ich splashe lieber im Warmen.
