Bei den Daring Cardmakers gibt es gerade eine Farbchallenge: creme/hellbraun/türkis/petrol so in etwa. Ich finde meine Kalenderkarte passt ganz gut dazu.

Ein frohes neues Jahr euch allen da draußen! Bei Sunday Postcard Art gibt es diese Woche ein freies Thema und ich habe tatsächlich seit längerer Zeit mal wieder was im Postkartenformat gemacht. Oder jedenfalls fast, es ist eine Staffeleikarte geworden, aber ich hoffe mal, dass das trotzdem gilt. Und bei den Crazy Amigos lautet das Thema der Woche „Happy New Year“, das passt auf jeden Fall.
Die schöne Blumenstanze ist übrigens mein allerliebstes Weihnachtsgeschenk.
Happy New Year to all of you! The Sunday Postcard Art Challenge runs an open theme this week and after a long while I did something with the right measures again. Or at least almost: it’s an easel-card but I hope it still counts. And this week’s Crazy Amigo Challenge is „Happy New Year“ so that’s definitely alright.
The beautiful flower cutting-die is brandnew and my very favourite christmas-gift.
Eine Hochzeitskarte war neulich gefragt und weil ich ausnahmsweise mal gleich mehrere Ideen hatte, habe ich mich nach Beratung durch eine kompetente Kollegin für eine Wasserfallkarte entschieden.
Ein bisschen Paper-Patch habe ich dabei gemacht – was für eine Heidenschnippelei! Aber damit qualifiziert sich die Karte für die aktuelle Challenge bei den Daring Cardmakers:

Eigentlich war ich nicht der Meinung, dass ich neben meinem heißgeliebten „spiced marmalade“ noch ein anderes Orange benötige, aber inzwischen sehe ich das ganz anders…

I didn’t think I’d ever need any other orange-colored ink-pad other than my beloved „spiced marmalade“ – but well, I’ve made up my mind….. The text translates „Holla! The forest-fairy!“ which doesn’t actually mean anything at all but is an expression of surprise / astonishment.
Das Meer ist diese Woche Thema bei den drei Musen. Und da ich die letzte Woche damit verbracht habe, in Meeresnähe zu stempeln (und diverse andere Dinge zu unternehmen), habe ich zu dem Thema sogar ganz „Frische Fische“ im Angebot. Leider kommen die Farben nicht so gut raus. Der Hintergrund für die kleinen Fische ist mit Textmarker und Distresskissen gestaltet, eine etwas eigenartige Technik, aber die Ergebnisse finde ich durchaus interessant.
The sea is called for by the three muses this week. And as i have just spent a week stamping (and doing lots of other things) by the sea, I do have some „fresh fish“ at hands. Unfortunately the photo doesn’t catch the colours very well. The background for the small fish has been made with blue textmarker and dark brown distress ink. Kind of a weird technique but the results are not too bad. The text translates „was your bathing water too hot?“ but it actually rather means „are you nuts?“ Well, just another pun that doesn’t quite work out in foreign languages – sorry!
Am Wochenende bin ich aus dem Urlaub zurückgekommen und da lag es in meinem Briefkasten und ist in Natura noch schöner als auf den Fotos:

Nur keine Karte. Das ist die aktuelle Vorgabe der Crazy Amigos für diese Woche. Dieses Tag-Büchlein habe ich auf dem Frühjahrs-Medina für eine Stempelfreundin gewerkelt, die kurz danach in den Big Apple gereist ist. Meine eigene New York-Reise ist (leider) schon über 10 Jahre her und als ich das Büchlein vorbereitet habe, habe ich wieder mal in meinem Fotoalbum geschwelgt und wieder richtig Lust auf diese tolle Stadt bekommen. Mal sehen, vielleicht klappt es irgendwann nochmal…
Anything but a card. That’s what the ladies at Crazy Amigo have called for this week. I made this little tag-book earlier this year during a retreat week-end. I gave it to a friend who travelled to „Big Apple“ some weeks later. My own journey to New York was more than 10 years ago. When I prepared the booklet I had another long look at my photo-album from then and I’d really like to return to this amazing city. Sometime, somehow…. maybe.
