Wie an jedem ersten Freitag eines neuen Monats gibt es auch diese Woche bei den Daring Cardmakers wieder ein Foto zur Inspiration, dieses Mal ausgesucht von Gez. Drei Elemente des Fotos sollen sich in den Karten mindestens wiederfinden. Ich habe mich für Colour-Blocking in weiß/rosa/rot entschieden (okay, Pfeile), schwarz-auf-schwarz mit einem schwebenden roten Akzent, Chalkboard-Effekt und die Präsenz eines Kindes (auch wenn es im eigentlichen Foto gerade nicht zu sehen ist).

As with every first Friday of a new month the Daring Cardmakers have prepared another picture inspiration challenge for you, picture chosen by Gez. We’d like to see at least three elements of that picture in your cards. I went for colour-blocking in white/pink/red (okay, colour-arrows), black-on-black with a little floating red accent, chalkboard-stamping and the presence of a child (even though it isn’t actually visible in the picture).

Mindesten drei Elemente sollen sich wiederfinden. Bei mir sind es die Farben, ein bisschen Text, der leicht marmorierte Hintergrund (mit Wachspapier in Resist-Technik gemacht) und (ganz ausnahmsweise) Herzen.

As on every first friday of a new months the Daring Cardmakers have an inspirational picture for you, this time chosen by Miri.

The challenge is to use at least three elements on your card. I went for the colours, a little text, the lightly marbled background (made using wax-paper as a resist medium) and (a rare exception) some hearts.

So heißt die aktuelle Challenge bei den Daring Cardmakers. Leo übersetzt diesen Ausdruck mit „nicht ganz auf der Höhe“ – es geht also um Karten zur Aufheiterung bzw. Genesung, die zugleich aber auch noch einen Bezug zum Thema Wetter haben. Was würde da besser passen, als das tolle schmollende Banksy-Mädchen mit dem Regenschirm?

This week’s challenge at the Daring Cardmakers‘ is to make a get well card that is also weather themed. What motive could be better suited than the lovely pouting Banksy-girl with the umbrella.

Ein neuer Freitag, ein neuer Monat und damit Zeit für eine neue Farbchallenge bei den Daring Cardmakers. Ich durfte aussuchen und habe mich für eine Lieblingskombi entschieden.

Der Textstempel ist übrigens neu. Und am besten gefällt mir die (leider hier nicht komplett lesbare) Zeile „behave like mum’s watching.“

A new Friday, a new month… it’s time for a new colour combo challenge by them Daring Cardmakers. I got to choose and went for an all-time favourite combo of mine.

The text stamp is brandnew to my collection. And my favourite bit is the (not entirely visible) line: „behave like mum’s watching.“

Bei Sunday Stamper ist diese Woche lila gefragt. Das ATC stammt aus einer kleinen aber sehr feinen True-Colours-Runde. Das Mädchen könnte auch ein Banksy-Motiv sein, bin mir nicht sicher. Der Stempel ist jedenfalls nicht von Bee Crafty sondern von Rajastamps.

Purple is called for at Sunday Stamper this week. I originally did make the ATC for a true-colours-swap. The girl might be a Banksy-motive but I’m not sure about that. The stamp after all is not by Bee Crafty (as are my other Banksy-stamps) but by Rajastamps.

Natty has chosen some soft pale colours for this week’s Daring Cardmakers colour combo challenge. I wanted to try and make a not so soft card using these colours. How do you like it?
