Abschied
Diese Woche durfte ich bei den Daring Cardmakers das Thema aussuchen und ich habe mich für etwas entschieden, das ich gar nicht so leicht finde: Abschiedskarten. Es dürfen Karten zum Ruhestand oder sonstige Verabschiedungen sein, aber gerne auch Trauerkarten. Letztere brauchen wir ja leider alle ab und an mal, so dass ich persönlich gut ein bisschen Inspiration in dem Bereich gebrauchen könnte. Aber wie gesagt: alle Sorten von Abschiedskarten sind gefragt und es gibt ja auch erfreulichere Anlässe.
Diese Karte mit passendem Anhänger (darin versteckte sich noch eine kleine Metallbox mit dem eigentlichen Geschenk) ging kürzlich an einen Kollegen.
This week it’s my turn to choose the Daring Cardmakers challenge and I went for something not so easy and light-hearted: farewell-cards. Could be retirement or other leaving cards but also sympathy cards. We all need the latter from time to time and I’d personally be grateful for some inspiration in the field. But all kindes of farewell cards are welcome!
This card and matching bottle hanger were a gift to a retiring colleague.

Fleißig, fleißig…
Diese Woche dreht sich bei den Daring Cardmakers alles um Bienen. Diese Shadowbox habe ich schon vor einer Weile für meine Stempelfreundin Kerstin gemacht, die selbst Imkerin ist. Und das gute Stück hat es sogar in einen Zeitungsbericht über Kerstin gebracht, was mich natürlich sehr gefreut hat.
Die Bienen habe ich übrigens auf Folie gestempelt, penibel ausgeschnitten und von der Unterseite mit Alkoholmarkern coloriert. Der Spruch ist einfach auf das Glas des Bilderrahmens gestempelt.
This week it’s all about bees at the Daring Cardmakers. I made this shadowbox a while ago and gave it to my stamping friend Kerstin who is a bee-keeper herself. When there was a newspaper-article about Kerstin the box even made it in there – to my great excitement as you may well have guessed.
The bees were stamped on acetate, fussy cut and coloured from the back-side using alcohol-markers. The quote was simply stamped onto the glass of the picture frame.

Pretty in Pink
Der Mai ist gekommen… und damit eine neue Foto-Inspiration bei den Daring Cardmakers. Ich habe mich von den Farben, pinken Kugeln, Blumen und den schön geschwungenen Sprüchen inspirieren lassen. Zum Hintergrund hat mich ein Workshop-Stand auf der Art Specially-Messe in Nijkerk inspiriert, ein besonders schönes Beispiel findet ihr bei Hermine.
May has come and so it’s time for another inspirational picture at the Daring Cardmakers‘. I went for colours, pink bubbles, flowers and a sentiment. The background was inspired by one of the many workshop stalls at this year’s Art Specially Event in Nijkerk. You can find a much nicer example on Hermine’s Blog.
