Diese Woche darf ich das Thema bei den Daring Cardmakers stellen und habe mich für eine Technik-Herausforderung entschieden: die unwiderstehliche Resist-Technik. Eine meiner Lieblingstechniken, die mich von Anfang an fasziniert hat. Ich glaube, es ist einfach dieser Moment, in dem aus dem weißen Hintergrund wie magisch ein Motiv auftaucht – ein bisschen wie früher im Fotolabor.

Also: wer macht mir die Freude und zaubert mit?

Der 1. Versuch, mal etwas heller als sonst so:

Nr. 2 – eher klassisch und einfach, embosst und hinterher weggebügelt für „flaches“ Weiterstempeln

This week it’s my turn to set the Daring Cardmakers‘ challenge and I went for a technical theme: the irresistible resist-technique. An all time favourite of mine that fascinated me right from the start. I think it’s just this magical moment when an image appears from a white background – like in a photo-lab.

Diese Woche sind bei den Daring Cardmakers geometrische Muster gefragt, sei es als zentrales Motiv, sei es als Hintergrund. Ich habe mich für Dreiecke entschieden und bei der Gelegenheit noch ein bisschen mit Brushos gespielt.

This week it’s all about geometric patterns at the Daring Cardmakers. They can feature as a main motive or in the background. I went for some triangles and also had a little play with some brusho colours.

Tiere in Feierlaune sind diese Woche bei den Daring Cardmakers gefragt. Ob diese Mieze hier allerdings wirklich noch Spaß hat, oder vielleicht doch schon ein bisschen verkatert ist… wer weiß das schon so genau?

Miri has asked us to feature (celebrating) animals on our Daring Cardmakers cards this week. Not quite sure, though, whether this kitty is still enjoying the party or already a little hungover…

Diese Woche hat Sharon sich bei den Daring Cardmakers Karten mit ganz viel Goldglanz gewünscht. Also flugs mal in der Schublade mit dem Blattmetall gekramt und mich an schlichtem Glamour für alle Fälle versucht.

This week at the Daring Cardmakers‘ Sharon asked us to make cards that feature gold heavily. So I searched my drawers for some sheet metal and tried to create some clean and simple glamour. The text on the card translates “made it” so that it can be used for a variety of occasions.

Diese Woche hat Jo sich bei den Daring Cardmakers Karten gewünscht, bei denen mal keine Blumen sondern Blätter im Mittelpunkt stehen. Ich liebe diesen Blattstempel von Inkadinkado aber ich habe ihn noch viel zu selten benutzt!

This week at the Daring Cardmakers‘ Jo has asked us to create some cards that feature leaves prominently. I love this leaf-stamp from Inkadinkado but have used it far too little so far!

Ich hoffe ihr seid alle gut in das neue Jahr hineingekommen? Ich hatte ja auf einen Kreativschub am langen Silvesterwochenende gehofft, aber der ist leider ausgeblieben.

Trotzdem geht es natürlich weiter und das Januar-Inspirationsbild der Daring Cardmakers hat mich dann auch wieder ein bisschen in Schwung gebracht. Folgende Elemente habe ich aufgegriffen: die Farben, Stern, Kreise, das 3×3 Rastermuster und ein bisschen Glitzer.

I hope you all had a good start for the New Year? I had hoped for my mojo to make an appearance on this first long week-end of the year, but… nope.

It was the Daring Cardmakers january inspiration picture that got me going eventually. I picked up on the following elements: the colours, star, circles, the 3×3 raster and a little glitter.

Diese Woche sind bei den Daring Cardmakers Karten gefragt, auf denen sich Text in einer Sprache findet, die wir sonst eher nicht benutzen. Da ich ständig englischsprachige Stempel benutze, fiel das schon mal aus und ich habe mich stattdessen für französisch entschieden.

Der Text bedeutet soviel wie: Es ist überhaupt nicht notwendig vor der Kamera zu stehen um sich (bzw. seinen Charakter) zu enthüllen.

This week’s Daring Cardmakers challenge is to use text in a language that you don’t usually use. As I use so many stamps containing english language I didn’t consider that an option and went for french instead.

The text roughly translates: It’s not at all necessary to be in front of the camera to reveal yourself.

Die ersten Weihnachtskarten sind verteilt und auch die Dezemberinspiration bei den Daring Cardmakers ist weihnachtlich geraten. Das Foto hat Dawn ausgesucht und ich habe mich für folgende Elemente entschieden: Farben, Holz, rotes Karomuster, Tannenzweige.

It’s definitely getting christmassy here… I have just sent out the first few Christmas cards and the Daring Cardmakers december inspiration also is clearly Christmas themed. Dawn has chosen the picture and the elements I chose are: colours, wood, red checkered/gingham pattern, fir sprigs.
