Das gemütliche Zuhause ist diese Woche das Thema bei den Daring Cardmakers. Da mussten nochmal die hübschen Grachtenhäuser vom Action herhalten.

Ein neuer Monat hat begonnen (echt jetzt!) und es ist wieder Zeit für ein Inspirationsfoto von den Daring Cardmakers. Ich fand das Auge des Flamingos so faszinierend, dass ich mich für ein (anderes) Auge als Hauptelement entschieden habe. Und dann natürlich die fantastischen Farben und eine schöne prägnante Schrift.

It’s a new month (seriously!) and thus time for another inspirational picture at the Daring Cardmakers‘. I found the flamingo’s eye so very striking that I decided to go for an eye as my main element. Plus colours and bold letters.

This week at the Daring Cardmakers‘ we’re asking you to make cards with lots of black and white and just one pop of a different colour.

…hätte ich ganz garstige Möglichkeiten. Und hätten wir da nicht alle den einen oder anderen Kandidaten auf der Liste?

Das neue Jahr hat nun auch bei den Daring Cardmakers begonnen und wie immer starten wir mit einem Foto zur Inspiration. Ich habe mich für folgende Elemente entschieden: Farben, Buchseiten, Zweig, Jute, Kreise.

The new year has eventually begun for the Daring Cardmakers and as usual we’re starting with an inspirational picture. I hope I didn’t offend anyone with the sentiment – but don’t we all have one or two persons on our list…?

The elements I went for are: colours, book pages, twig, burlap, circles.

Die letzte Daring Cardmakers Challenge in diesem Jahr bleibt weihnachtlich: es geht um all die weihnachtlichen Dinge, die wir noch nicht hatten (wir hatten z.B. schon: Karten, Anhänger, Verpackungen). Das hier zählt also eigentlich nicht so ganz, aber neben Stapeln von Weihnachtskarten ist es das einzige, was ich zustande gebracht habe: kleine Überraschungstütchen für die Kollegen und Nachbarn:

We’re sticking to the Christmas theme at the Daring Cardmakers‘: this week is all about all the other christmassy things beyond the ones we already asked you to show us (which were cards, tags and gift boxes). Well, I guess this one doesn’t quite count then as we did gift bags before but it is actually the only other thing I made this Christmas: some little goodie bags for the folks at work and the neighbours.

Tja, es gibt so ein paar Karten, die einfach etwas länger brauchen. Und genau die waren schon am Freitag bei den Daring Cardmakers gefragt. Aber es hat – quasi erwartungsgemäß – etwas länger gedauert.

Für eine blinde Freundin gibt es statt verschiedener Farben lieber Papiere mit unterschiedlicher Oberflächenstruktur.

Tags und Label sind diese Woche bei den Daring Cardmakers gefragt. Und weil sie nicht uuuunbedingt weihnachtlich sein müssen, gibt’s bei mir nochmal einen Rückblick auf Halloween.

It’s all about tags and labels at the Daring Cardmakers‘ this week. And as they don’t have to be all christmassy I prefer to show you some more of this year’s Halloween-stuff.

Zum Monatsbeginn (erstes Türchen öffnen nicht vergessen!) gibt es wie immer ein Inspirationsfoto bei den Daring Cardmakers. Und natürlich bleiben wir weihnachtlich.

Daring Cardmakers elemental inspiration – still christmassy.

…und diese Woche dreht sich bei den Daring Cardmakers alles um (Weihnachts- und andere) Bäume. Es darf auch gleich ein ganzer Wald voll sein.

The Daring Cardmakers are sticking to the Christmas theme and this week we’re trimming the tree (it doesn’t have to be a Christmas tree though and you could even have an entire forest).

Es weihnachtet weiter bei den Daring Cardmakers: diese Woche sind Geschenkschachteln oder Tüten gefragt, selbstgemacht oder selbst verziert. Und weil sie nicht unbedingt weihnachtlich sein müssen, zeige ich euch hier ein Stück aus einem diesjährigen Halloween-Großprojekt, nämlich einem „Halloween-Adventskalender“. In den Sarg hatte ich ein gestanztes Skelett gelegt und einen Halloween-Lolly dessen Stiel im Dunkeln leuchtet.

Still Christmassy at the Daring Cardmakers‘: this week we’re looking forward to see your gift bags or boxes, selfmade or just decorated. And as they don’t have to be Christmas-themed I have gone for Halloween. The coffin was part of a larger project, a „Halloween-Advent-calender“. Inside it held a die-cut sceleton and a lollipop on a glow-in-the-dark-stick.
